Off to Yu-Lin! (No Comments)

Team Dan and Al are off to Hong Kong today! We will be stopping in HK for a few days then head to Yu-Lin from 6/2-6/6. Please pray for the kids at the orphanage, and please pray for us. Pray that we can truly shine God’s love to all those around us and pray that we can understand what this means, to shine His love to the nation of China. We will be touring the city for our future orphanage/medical clinic/school location. We seek discernment, to hear where God is calling us.

We love you Jesus, we pray for your strength in us during this upcoming trip.

Thankfulness (2 Comments)

I sometimes find myself complaining about my all-too-comfortable life to anyone who will listen: there is dog hair everywhere from our 90-lb Golden Retriever, the kids haven’t finished their homework, the house is a mess, I have a cold and I STILL have to go to work….It would do me some good to remember that there are people in the world without food to eat, without a roof over their heads, without the love of a family. People who are fighting for their lives instead of grumbling over a common cold. I am thankful I have a wonderful dog, that my children have the chance to get an education, that I have a house to call home, that I HAVE a job in this economy. I hope you will pause and tell someone what you are thankful for today!

Joshua 1:9 (No Comments)

As we continue to approach 2013, the year I am supposed to relocate to China, permanently, I get more and more anxious; especially with each trip we take to Yu-Lin, the move becomes more of a reality. But as the Big Man upstairs has promised, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong. Be courageous. Do not be terrified. Do not be discouraged. For I will be with you wherever you go.”

I continue to live off of that promise. Through all ups and downs. Through all struggles and uncertainties. Through all fears and roadblocks. He has commanded us to be His soldiers, wherever we are.

Always looking up with great anticipation,
Dan
