About Us

Our Mission:

To love and empower the underprivileged children of China, providing eternal hope for a brighter future.

“All our lives we receive love, compassion, lessons, wisdom and knowledge from those around us. Giving back is an occasion when we get to share what we have received with those around us. When we give, we also receive. It is the power of reciprocity. Embrace the gift of giving back.” [Chicken Soup for the Soul, Stories for a Better World]

Our Growing Team:

Catherine Kim, M.D. – Chair of the Board of Directors
Catherine M. Kim is an Emergency Medicine Physician. She is a graduate of the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine Emergency Medicine Residency Program (2009). Her medical school education was split between University of Southern California and Wright State University where she earned her M.D. in 2004. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences at University of Southern California (1998).

After being touched by the testimonies of adults who were once orphans adopted into loving families, Catherine understood the tremendous potential of children in need and felt compelled to serve. Her heart lies in improving the lives of underprivileged kids, in part by helping them realize just how precious they are – each created for a unique purpose. She strives to use her skills and passion to help provide a brighter future for these children.

Daniel Lui, M.D., M.B.A. – Founder, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors, and CEO
Daniel Lui is currently a resident family physician at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He is a graduate of Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and Raj Soin College of Business, where he earned his M.D. and degree in Health Care Management (2010). He obtained his bachelors in International Business and Life Sciences from The Ohio state University (2004).

His hope is to pursue full-time missions later in his life, but views every obstacle and every opportunity [before then] as training for the future. After recent trips to China and Mexico, his desire is to utilize the medical and business background as a tool for serving underprivileged children. He tries to live out each day by the quote, “In this life we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love.”
