Projects

Length of the internship. 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months

Who internship is for? This internship is tailored for anyone that is interested in and/or involved with the following:
1. Business major/minor
2. Non-profit work
3. Underprivileged children of China
4. Leadership opportunity and growth
5. Social work
6. Event planning/coordination
7. Recommendation/reference letter

Number of positions currently available. 1-2

What is expected? This will be a non-paid position, lasting for 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months depending on the intended goals. At the minimum, the individual will plan one fundraising event for GivingBackLife. He/she will be free to brainstorm, implement, and work freely and independently on this project; however, Daniel Lui (CEO) can be used as a sounding board and will ultimately be supervising the project(s), making sure that whatever is done is consistent with GivingBackLife goals, missions, and purpose. Even though the minimum expectation is planning and implementing a fundraising event for GBL, roles do not have to be limited to that. Daniel Lui and the rest of the Board of Directors would be open to meet any personal interests. We want this experience to be one of personal growth.

Additional information: Expectation is that intern will meet or have conference call with Daniel Lui at least once every 2 weeks; or at least once every month if 12 month internship. If funding is needed for event, intern will need to have a written proposal submitted to Catherine Kim (Chair of Board of Directors) and Paul Auclair (Treasurer) at least 2 weeks prior to needing the funds.
